AGM, short for “Africans Getting Money,” was born from a shared dream between two visionary friends, Ibrahima Bah and Sayon Camara, and officially came to life in 2020. This is a powerhouse in the game that stands tall as a beacon for the dreams and ambitions of young African Americans and those born in the Motherland, holding it down in the U.S. Rooted in the pulse and power of hip-hop culture, AGM isn’t just a label – it’s a movement. We’re all about bringing artists from every corner of the creative map into the spotlight, letting their voices shine and their stories ignite the stage.
AGM’s dedication is fire and spreads through the whole musical spectrum from hip-hop and Afrobeat to reggae, Dancehall, and even a touch of comedy. Our roots run deep, hailing from Guinea, West Africa, but we’ve planted ourselves firmly in the heart of Southside, Jamaica, Queens, our home turf. Our main mission and ultimate goal? It’s crystal-clear fam. We’re here to elevate Africans globally and create pathways to financial prosperity, making sure that success and that paper are within reach for all.
AGM aims to sign and support talented artists and entertainers, with the ambitious goal of becoming the largest African-owned enterprise of this generation within the hip-hop industry. Currently, our roster boasts talented individuals such as SayDaDon, FingaPlay, and Joe Black.
Since our inception, we have garnered millions of views on streaming platforms, a testament to the undeniable talent of our artists. Additionally, AGM’s artists have garnered acclaim and recognition on prominent mainstream radio stations, such as Hot 97 and Power 105, in addition to securing airtime on various other radio outlets worldwide.
Beyond music, AGM has diversified its interests and now operates various businesses, including restaurants and dispensaries. As we continue to expand, we are excited to announce that AGM is actively working on a range of projects. These include SayDaDon’s highly anticipated album, “Big Hooks,” a collaborative EP, and a video blog. We’re also gearing up for the release of Joe Black’s album, as well as FingaPlay’s album.
