AGM, or “Africans Getting Money,” emerged as a dream shared by two friends, ultimately materializing in 2020. We pridefully represent the journey and aspirations of young African Americans and African-born natives in America. Rooted in the hip-hop culture’s transformative power, AGM is now a record label that embraces artists from various genres, amplifying their voices and stories. Our commitment extends across a spectrum of genres, including hip-hop, Afrobeats, reggae, Dancehall, and even comedy. While AGM’s roots trace back to Guinea, West Africa, we proudly call Southside, Jamaica, Queens, our home base.
Say Da Don
Introducing NY artist Say Da Don, a dynamic force in the music scene who is destined for greatness. Unfazed by setbacks, he confidently declares, “Say Da Don When You Say My Name,” combining his real name, Sayon, with his nickname, ‘The Don.’
He brings a sound that is a vibrant fusion of genres, deeply rooted in his West African heritage, and his music is a testament to the rich cultural tapestry he grew up with, effortlessly blending Afrobeats and hip-hop. This authenticity keeps his sound fresh, current, and true to the culture.
What truly distinguishes Say Da Don is his unshakeable self-assurance and straightforward demeanor.
Even in the early stages of his career, he exudes a poised and assured presence, knowing exactly who he is as an artist and the path he wants to take. With a self-proclaimed “golden voice,” his music centers on the topics of life, women, and lifestyle. He has been deeply inspired by legendary artists such as Ne-Yo, Meek Mill, and Lil Wayne, and has dedicated himself to honing his skills and contemplating his artistic evolution.
Currently, Say Da Don is hard at work on his highly anticipated project, Coming to America, with executive producer Omar Thiam, who happens to be the brother of music and business mogul, Akon. This project will feature up-and-coming Afrobeats and hip-hop artists and will be released under the AGM label in collaboration with BRED and Vydia.
